Notice:

Due to the complex and different circuits of 1st Gen Silverado & 2nd Gen Sierra, you may need to use a standard 4-pin SPST relays to make the cargo light work well with your truck. Such problems are listed below:

• The cargo lights won't turn on.
• The cargo lights stay on.
• The cargo lights are always dimly lit.

You can follow below steps and check the circuit diagram in above picture to finish the rewiring. Here you will see the 4 wires that are on the cargo lamp connector from the truck. The colors of the 4 wires are orange, blue with a white stripe, light blue, and black respectively.

1. Cut the orange wire and split it into two, then connect these two wires to the pin labeled 30, pin labeled 85 separately.
2. Cut the blue/white wire and connect it to the pin labeled 86. Now, connect the brown wire that powers the white cargo lamp LEDs to the pin labeled 87.
3. Twist the white and black wires which coming out of the LED third brake cargo lamp assy together, and connect them to the black ground wire coming out of the truck.
